At the heart of ONE Community is a commitment to initiatives which enhance community wellbeing, enshrine environmental responsibility, and encourage the sustainable development of our city with investment and learning. We understand success relies not only on making the right commercial decision, but on how we interact with the people and place around us.
ONE Community continues to shape our decision-making; it influences the initiatives we pursue and who we chose to work with. It encourages collaboration; partnerships which incorporate local people as well as the expertise of charities and likeminded businesses. We’re proud of the steps we’ve taken together to make our community, ONE Community, a better place to live, work and visit, now and for the future.

Comics Youth, a community interest company led by young people, helps other young people tell their own stories by creating and publishing comics.
The Comics Youth team have been awarded funding grants twice from the Liverpool ONE Foundation, once in 2015 and again in 2017. In that time, they’ve expanded the delivery of their sessions from their base at Centre 63 to YPAS and Central Library Liverpool. They’ve also undertaken new projects like ‘Illustrating Futures’: a collaborative project with the University of Liverpool that focuses on the relationship between comics and mental health.
We are proud to be able to support Comics Youth and their work offering socially isolated young people a chance to express themselves and develop their own narratives.
