Data we collect about your visits
We use temporary cookies on our website. Many websites use cookies whenever a user visits their website in order to track online traffic flows. A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer browser from a website’s computer and is temporarily stored on your device’s hard drive. Information supplied by cookies can help us to analyse the profile of our visitors and help us to provide you with a better user experience.

Additionally, we may track and analyse individuals’ web activity. When tracking this behaviour, we will first obtain consent from the user, providing you with the opportunity to opt-out of being tracked.

Please note that users also have the opportunity to set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or to not receive cookies at any time.

The last of these means that certain personalised features cannot then be provided to that user and accordingly they may not be able to take full advantage of all of the website’s features.

Each browser is different, so check the “Help” menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

In addition to the company’s safeguards, your personal data is protected in the UK by the Data Protection Act. This provides amongst other things that the data we hold about you should be processed lawfully and fairly. It should be accurate, relevant and not excessive. The information should be kept up to date, where necessary, and not retained for longer than is necessary. It should be kept securely to prevent unauthorised access by other people.

Use of Cookies
Cookies do different things, like letting you navigate between pages quickly and generally improving your experience of a website. If a website doesn’t use cookies, it will think you are a new visitor every time you move to a new page on the site – for example, when you enter your login details and move to another page it won’t recognise you and it won’t be able to keep you logged in.

Virtually all websites use cookies in order to improve a users experience by allowing that website to ‘remember’ you. This can be for the duration of your visit (using a ‘session cookie’) or for repeat visits (using a ‘persistent cookie’).

We use only essential cookies on this website to track the performance of the website via Google Analytics. This non personal data helps us to understand how to improve the website content for the benefit of all visitors.

If you want to block cookies then you can do this through your browser via the Help function. You can also visit www.aboutcookies.org, for further guidance.

Sometimes we use third party websites ( e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) to embed photos and video content into our web pages. Pages with this embedded content may set cookies from these websites onto your local device.

When you use one of the social website share buttons, a cookie may be set by the service you have chosen to share content through.

Liverpool ONE does not control the application of these cookies and so you need to check the relevant third party website for more information about these.
