Chavasse Park retains Green Flag Award for the 11th consecutive year

Chavasse Park has retained its Green Flag status, making it the 11th consecutive year that the park has won the national award.

The award was won following a mystery shop-style visit to assess numerous aspects of the park, including cleanliness, overall condition, flower beds, and litter management.

Chavasse Park, the five acres of open space and beautifully landscaped gardens at the heart of Liverpool ONE, provides an oasis of calm in the city centre and serves as the place for regular one-off and seasonal events. It was named after local war hero Noel Godfrey Chavasse – one of only three British subjects to be awarded the Victoria Cross twice.

Alongside Chavasse Park, Sefton Park and Stanley Park have also received the Green Flag award across the city of Liverpool.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have Chavasse Park awarded Green Flag status for the 11th consecutive year and we’re proud to be in such incredible company across the city and in the UK.

“Chavasse Park plays a vital role in making Liverpool ONE a welcoming place to come and experience and, as ever, this recognition is a real testament to the hard work and dedication of the Liverpool ONE team in providing a beautiful and well-maintained green space for our visitors to enjoy.”

Councillor Laura Robertson-Collins, Cabinet Member for Communities, Neighbourhoods and Streetscene
