Liverpool ONE Cycle Hub

1 Summary of Membership

1.1 Membership provides access to cycle parking to the Liverpool ONE Secure Bike Store, Liverpool ONE.

1.2 Membership is free of charge, with a £10 administration fee to set up the access pass at the beginning of membership. The annual membership must be renewed every 12 months. No fee is required to renew, if access pass is still in tact.

1.3 If membership is not renewed, within a 1 month period of expiry, the membership space will be allocated to another user.

1.4 A  Registration and membership including renewal is obtained via the Liverpool ONE Information Centre, 5 Wall Street.

1.5 A membership card will be provided and strictly one card will be issued per person. The card will be issued by staff at Liverpool ONE following registration and membership.

1.6 Your personal details will be stored securely, in case of need to contact you regarding your bike or membership. Storage of your details will abide by GDPR regulations, and will not be shared.

1.7 ONLY one bicycle is permitted per membership.

1.8 The Cycle Hub is used entirely at members’ own risk. Liverpool ONE does not accept responsibility for injury, loss, theft or damage to persons or equipment, howsoever arising.

2 Registration

2.1 To register as a member you must:

2.3 Ensure that all information provided in the registration process is accurate. Information provided includes personal contact details and description of vehicle.

2.4 Agree to these terms and conditions, providing a signed copy.

2.5 Liverpool ONE reserves the right to refuse membership.

2.6 If the bike you register with, changes during your membership, you must inform Liverpool ONE by visiting the Liverpool ONE Information Centre, to ensure your details are updated.

3 Operation of Membership

3.1 Admission to the Liverpool ONE Cycle Hub is strictly limited to members holding a current and valid membership card.

3.2 Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions or misuse of the Cycle Hub may result in membership being terminated without any refund being given.

3.3 Membership will expire at the end of the term unless membership is renewed. To renew, you must visit the Liverpool ONE Information Centre to ensure your pass is active.

3.4 Users are given 1 month to renew their membership post expiry. Post this 1 month date, your membership space will be allocated to another guest.

3.5 In the event of membership expiry or cancellation and if a bicycle remains within the Cycle Hub the bicycle will be removed 1 month after membership expiry. After a period of 2 months it will be donated to a local charity.

4 Access to Cycle Hub

4.1 The membership card will also act as the access card to the Cycle Hub’s electronic entry system.

4.2 The card must be used to gain access to the Cycle Hub or presented when requested by any authorised official of Liverpool ONE. Members are entitled to ask Liverpool ONE staff for identification.

4.3 The membership card will not be valid if damaged or defaced in any way. A replacement card must be requested by the member and may be subject to a charge. In the event a membership card is damaged through reasonable wear and tear Liverpool ONE reserves the right to waive the replacement fee at its sole discretion.

4.4 The membership card shall be non-transferable and use of the card shall be restricted to the registered member only. Misuse of the card could result in membership termination.

4.5 Members must notify Liverpool ONE, at the Liverpool ONE Information Centre, 5 Wall St, to any changes of membership, including but not limited to, a change in vehicle.

5 Cancellation of Membership

5.1 Members wishing to cancel membership should contact Liverpool ONE at the Liverpool ONE Information Centre, 5 Wall St.

5.2 Membership cards must be returned to the Liverpool ONE Information Centre, 5 Wall St.

6 Cycle Hub Operating Hours

6.1 Access to the Cycle Hub is available 24 hours. Liverpool ONE reserves the right to vary the hours of operation at any time. Any changes will be advertised in advance at the Cycle Hub and on www.Liverpool-ONE.com

6.2 In the event of a disruption including but not limited to those caused by construction equipment malfunction, damage, social disorder or force majeure event at or around the Cycle Hub temporary closure of the Cycle Hub may be required on occasion.

6.3 Liverpool ONE accepts no liability for journey delays, inconvenience, loss of income or additional expense incurred by members arising from the temporary closure of the Cycle Hub.

6.4 Liverpool ONE will publish the opening hours of the Cycle Hub including any general information relating to the Cycle Hub at www.Liverpool-ONE.co.uk.

7 Using the Cycle Hub

7.1 Cycle parking facilities shall be available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. Membership does not guarantee the availability of a cycle parking space within the Cycle Hub.

7.2 The Cycle Hub provides parking for standard pedal cycles only.

7.3 Electric scooters, electric bicycles, electric vehicles and modified pedal/electric bikes are not permitted.

7.4 Charging of electric bikes and batteries of any kind is strictly prohibited.

7.5 Bikes must not be stored in pedestrian routes or blocking fire escape routes.

7.6 The Cycle Hub is for storage of bicycles and cycle related items (such as helmets and bike lights) only. Members must ensure that any cycle related items are safely secured and do not impede other members.

7.7 Members are not permitted to store other items within the unit. The Cycle Hub floor and communal walkway must be kept clear. Any items left unattended shall be removed. It shall be the members’ responsibility to contact Liverpool ONE within one month, after which time such items shall be disposed of.

7.7 Smoking or vaping is not permitted within the Cycle Hub.

7.8 Cycle locks are not provided and must be supplied by the member.

7.9 Misuse of the Cycle Hub may result in membership being terminated without refund. Terms of misuse are at the discretion of Liverpool ONE.

7.10 Parking or storage of any kind of vehicle, or item not permitted, will result in the item being immediately removed and disposed of.

7.11 ONLY one bicycle is permitted per membership.

8 Members Obligations

Members shall be responsible for:

8.1 The membership card.

8.2 Properly securing the bicycle to a cycle rack using an appropriate lock to be supplied by the member.

8.3 Safe and correct use of the cycle parking racks.

8.4 Ensuring that no damage, defacing or vandalism is caused to the Cycle Hub or any of the equipment or property in any way.

8.5 Tailgaters do not follow them into the facility.

9 Safety and Security

9.1 The Cycle Hub is used entirely at members’ own risk. Liverpool ONE does not accept responsibility for injury, loss, theft or damage to persons or equipment, howsoever arising.

9.2 While the Cycle Hub is a secure cycle parking facility, members are advised that for public safety, in the event of a power or mechanical failure the automatic doors are set to a default open position until repairs can be carried out.

9.3 Liverpool ONE recommends the use of a secure lock.

9.4 Members are responsible for ensuring an appropriate level of insurance cover for their property, including the bicycle. It is recommended that members register bicycles on the UK National Property Register; the national police database of registered property ownership and stolen property records.

9.5 The Cycle Hub is monitored 24 hours per day by CCTV cameras operated by Liverpool ONE for the purposes of safety and security.

9.6 Note that Liverpool ONE intends to take part in future initiatives such as cycle training, repairs and the promotion of cycling in Liverpool. Notices will be displayed on a noticeboard in the Cycle Hub with additional information on www.Liverpool-ONE.com.
