When will the Christmas Express be at Liverpool ONE?
The Christmas Express will be available at Liverpool ONE from 15 November – 24 December 2019. With journeys taking place between 12 – 6.15pm.

How much does a ticket for the Christmas Express cost?
Adults £5.50 (for those aged 17 and over)
Please note, these prices are inclusive of a booking fee.
Can children under a certain age attend for free?
Children under 2 can board the Christmas Express for free, as long as they are seated on the knee of a parent or guardian whilst riding the train.
Are there any age restrictions for the event?
All children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. There are no age limits for the Christmas Express and Polar Adventure, however, the event is best suited to children aged 3 – 10 and their families.

How long does the event last?
The event lasts between 30 – 45 minutes, including train travel from Chavasse Park to the pop-up party (also within Chavasse Park), as well as party activities.
What’s included in the experience?
Polar Adventure is a 30 – 45-minute experience which begins by boarding the Christmas Express train from the specially built station on Chavasse Park. Experiences during the event, which are included in the ticket price are:
• Christmas Express land train journey in Chavasse Park
• All activities within the polar party, including:
o Hot chocolate
o Bio-glitter face painting
o Postcard decorating
o Singing and dancing
Please note, all activities within the polar party will be undertaken as group sessions.
Will Santa be making an appearance at the Christmas Express or polar party?
Unfortunately, Santa is very busy this time of year and won’t be making any appearances at the Christmas Express or polar party.
But don’t panic! The jolly station master and his team of friendly porters will be on hand to make sure you and your family enjoy a truly magical experience.
I’ve booked, should I bring anything with me?
Please bring proof of purchase. This can be a printout or the ticket on your smartphone.
Don’t forget, before you go to the North Pole, you can take advantage of our bag drop service. Simply drop your shopping at the Information Centre on Wall Street to enjoy a hands-free experience.
Can I purchase a ticket on the day?
Tickets can be purchased on the day from the ticket office (within Chavasse Park), however, there are limited spaces available per journey. To avoid disappointment, pre-booking is advised via the Liverpool ONE website:
Can I bring my pet?
No dogs or other pets allowed in the North Pole area or on the train, except for assistance animals such as guide dogs.
Can pushchairs and prams go on the Christmas Express?
Unfortunately, pushchairs may not be taken on the Christmas Express train. There are a limited number of pushchairs available to borrow in the North Pole. Pushchairs may also be left in the pushchair park at your own risk.
Does the Christmas Express accommodate wheelchair access?
Liverpool ONE are delighted to invite all customers to enjoy the Polar Adventure experience on Chavasse Park this Christmas.
Polar Adventure is a 30 – 45-minute experience which begins by boarding a land train. Passengers are on the train for approx. 5 mins before disembarking at a special pop-up North Pole inspired area to take part in a variety of festive activities.
Because of the structure of the land train, unfortunately wheelchairs and pushchairs are not able to board the land train however all activities within the North Pole area are fully accessible for all.
If possible, wheelchair users are encouraged to board the train and leave their wheelchair in the safe hands of our Christmas Express porters who will deliver their chair to the North Pole in time for the train’s arrival.
Wheelchair users who are not able to leave their chair to board the train will be guided to the entrance of the North Pole area and where they will begin their experience.
The price of the experience is £8.50 per child and £5.50 per adult. Wheelchair users are permitted to bring one carer with them free of charge. These must be specified at the point of booking.

Can I leave the event and then re-enter?
Unfortunately, if you need to exit the North Pole area for any reason, we are unable to allow re-entry to the event. You can expect to be in the North Pole area for approximately 30 – 45 minutes as part of the experience.
I’ve missed my allocated train slot, what can I do?
Tickets are only valid for the booked date and time. If you arrive late and miss your booked train time, we will endeavour to fit you on the next available train the same day. However, if there are no further trains available that day, it is not possible to change allocated tickets to other days.
Refunds are not available for missed trains.
My ticket has been lost or stolen.
If your ticket has been lost or stolen, please contact Ticket Quarter on 0344 3350397.
I require a refund, what do I do?
All ticket sales are final. No refunds are available except in the circumstance that a booked train is unable to run for operational reasons. In this case, our ticket operator Ticket Quarter will contact the purchaser to organise a full refund.
What if the weather is bad, is this an outdoor event?
Polar Adventure is both an indoor and outdoor event, made up of a short journey by land train and a polar party – for which activities will take place in yurts. Nestled alongside the Polar Adventure experience, visitors will also be able to enjoy a selection of outdoor festive stalls offering food, drinks, gifts and decorations.
The event will go ahead in all weather, providing it is safe to do so. No refunds or exchanges will be offered due to weather conditions unless the attraction is unable to run.
I have food allergies; will any food or drink be served during the experience?
Hot chocolate will be served during the event. If you have any allergies, please inform a member of the Liverpool ONE team on arrival. Festive food and drink stalls will also be available around Chavasse Park, for allergy advice, please speak to stall staff.
I have lost or damaged an item whilst at the event.
Liverpool ONE cannot accept any responsibility for loss, damage, or injury that may occur during the event. Admission is at your own risk.
Is the Christmas Express safe for young children, how fast does it go?
The Christmas Express is a land train that’s perfectly safe for all members of the family to enjoy. Customers are advised to follow instructions of the events team at all times.
The train moves at walking speed, but please remember to keep all arms, legs and heads inside the train and ensure you do not lean out of the train or attempt to disembark or board while the train is moving.
What else do I need to know?
• Glitter used within the event is biodegradable
• You may be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes while at this event. CCTV is in operation during the event.
