Three Festival Tall Ships Regatta 2018


This is the fifth time Liverpool has hosted these historic craft in the past three decades and it never fails to be an exciting event. The Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta will link a trio of vibrant port cities – Liverpool, Dublin and Bordeaux – with some nail-biting racing across the Irish Sea and Bay of Biscay, and it all begins here over the bank holiday weekend.

Expect spectacular performances, unique entertainment, street animation and live music, as Liverpool waterfront is transformed. So ready your sea legs and follow the fleet to Liverpool for four memorable and uplifting days of maritime magic!


Liverpool Bordeaux Wine Festival


Love wine? You need to go to the Liverpool Bordeaux Wine Festival this bank holiday weekend! In a UK premiere, Liverpool is being welcomed into the Bordeaux ‘Fete le Vin’ family alongside Brussels, Hong Kong, Quebec and Bordeaux.



Paying homage to the amazing wines from Bordeaux, the festival will teach you everything you need to know about wine, including tasting! 2018 marks our 10th birthday and we’re celebrating in style! Join us from 26-28 May for a weekend to remember. On Saturday, grab some food and drinks from one of our restaurants and find yourself a nice spot in Chavasse Park; we’ll be putting on a free concert from 12pm of some of the best jazz, swing and big bands around for you to enjoy!

Plus, our Tickle the Ivories piano will be out on Keys Court spreading the joy as well as the Ship’s Crew Parade, who’ll be making their way through Liverpool ONE from 4pm-5pm led by the Tanagen brass band.



On Sunday and Monday, head to the Thomas Steers Way fountains for an elegant Water Ballet performance at 11am by House of Suarez and on Monday get ready for the finale of our celebrations. From 12pm, a spectacular New Orleans style parade will be making their way around Liverpool ONE, accompanied by live music, dazzling dancers and more! China’s First Emperor and the Terracotta Warriors


For over 2,000 years, an underground army of life-sized terracotta warriors secretly guarded the tomb of China’s First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, until a chance discovery in 1974 unlocked the mysteries of a vanished empire.

Double Fantasy


Double Fantasy – John & Yoko, is a free new exhibition at Museum of Liverpool that explores and celebrates the meeting of two of the world’s most creative artists. Featuring personal objects alongside art, music and film produced by John and Yoko, the exhibition is drawn from Yoko’s own private collection, some of which has never been displayed.




Discover the story of their relationship, along with their political activism and peace campaigning, told in their own words for the very first time this bank holiday weekend!
