John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’

John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’

Join us on the International Day of Peace on Thursday 21 September, to celebrate the release of the new illustrated children's book, John Lennon's 'Imagine'. Released by Amnesty International, this new book uses illustrations to explain to children the power of tolerance and understanding, things so desperately needed in today's world right now.

Authors, musicians and critics have all praised the book for its peaceful theme, including Malorie Blackman who said: “Alongside John Lennon’s classic lyrics, Jean Jullien’s deceptively simple illustrations create a beautiful, touching book.”

To mark the book’s release, we’ve joined forces with Waterstones and Quarto book publishers to spread the love around Liverpool. School choirs will be singing the iconic song ‘Imagine’ from 11am and trees outside Waterstones and on Paradise Street will have twine wrapped around them, where you’ll be able to write and hang up messages of peace on our peace birds.
