Hanover Street has come alive in recent years, establishing itself as the go to place for great food. Whether you fancy Mexican, Thai, BBQ or anything in between, Hanover has you covered! Smoking low and slow over oak, and using only quality meats sourced from local and American butchers, Red’s True BBQ’s pitmasters turn mere cuts into pure BBQ joy! If Mexicans more your thing, Wahaca offers fresh, honest, Mexican market food. From tacos to burritos to salads, Wahaca’s food is mouth-wateringly good. There’s always something going on at Liverpool ONE. We have tons of fun things to do over the bank holiday weekend one of our favourites is Ping! Set up outside the Utility store on Paradise Place, these fun and completely free ping pong tables will keep the family entertained for hours! Just grab a ball and bats from inside Utility to start your game. Or if you’re extra competitive, take part in Roxy’s Prize Pong on 27 May. The Roxy Ball Room team will be setting up their Red Cups on the tables, with each one representing various prizes including venue vouchers and a mystery prize! If you’re looking for a more chilled out activity, why not grab a book and take a seat under our Reading Trees. Recently sprouted up on Paradise Street, the trees are full of adults and children’s books waiting to be enjoyed. There’s also a range of exciting literary events going on around the city, like Romeo and Juliet at the Everyman! Alternatively, Chavasse Park is a great bank holiday getaway – we could sit there for hours! Take a walk on the wild side on our Nature Trail or pack a picnic and enjoy the scenery.
