Finding a decent vegan place to eat used to be practically impossible. If you were going out for a meal, it was a given you’d be stuck with the same bland food. Well, we’re happy to say those days are no more! Tons of restaurants are now serving up exciting and flavoursome vegan food, including many in Liverpool ONE.

1.Wagamama

Wagamama on The Terrace has just released a new vegan menu and its everything you could have hoped for! Designed around the idea that meat free shouldn’t equal taste free, its jam-packed with incredible textures and flavours. With everything from Wok Fried Greens to Kare Burosu to Yasai Samla Curry – which happened to win Best Curry in the PETA Vegan Food Awards 2017 – there’s something for everyone to enjoy! If you love Asian food, this is the place to go.

 

2. Cosy Club

Head to Cosy Club on Paradise Street for a varied selection of tasty vegan dishes. Cosy’s vegan menu covers every meal from brunch through to dessert, so whatever time of day you go you’ll be satisfied. Indulge in a Courgette, Pea and Edamame Bean Risotto, Hummus and Roasted Red Peppers Panini, Dark Chocolate and Ginger Torte and more! No wonder Cosy won Best Vegan Menu at the PETA Vegan Food Awards 2017 and were shortlisted for this year’s Free Form Awards.

3. Wahaca

If you love Mexican food, you have to head to Wahaca on College Lane. Their vegan menu features classic main Mexican dishes like tacos, enchiladas, and burritos, as well as tasty sides like chargrilled tenderstem broccoli and sweet potato chunks – yum! Plus, if you’re a fan of spice, they have two chilli sauces – fiery arbol and smoky chipotle – just for vegans that are guaranteed to warm your soul.

 

4. Lunya

If you’re after great vegan tapas, Lunya on Hanover Street is the place to go. They have a huge variety on offer, with everything from patatas bravas to escalivada to chickpeas and samfaina, you’re sure to find something you love. Lunya also do incredible homemade breads like Catalan tomato bread and an as fresh as they come vegetable paella! Coupled with their huge collection of drinks, Lunya is a great place to dine with friends.

5. Pizza Express

If you’re a pizza fiend, go to Pizza Express on The Terrace. The winner of Best Pizza at the PETA Vegan Food Awards 2017, Pizza Express’ Vegan Giardiniera features olives, artichokes, tomato, mushrooms and their famed vegan and dairy free mozzarella! They have tons of tasty options for vegans aside from pizza too, with doughballs, roasted tomatoes and dairy-free sorbet also on the menu!

 

6. Las Iguanas

Finally, if you love fresh and authentic Mexican, Brazilian or South American food, head to Las Iguanas on The Terrace. They have a great range of vegan food that is both flavourful and filling. Try their Fiesta Ensalda for a taste of Peru or their Moqueca De Palmitos for a curry with a Brazilian twist.
