Housed in an historic newly refurbished art deco building, the Royal Court Theatre Liverpool is arguably the friendliest theatre in the city. And there’s plenty to choose from!
Its unique dining experience offers members of the audience a relaxed ‘cabaret style’ environment in which to enjoy a meal before the show starts. Book for dinner at the same time you book your ticket, then turn up at least an hour before the show starts to enjoy a fine dining-plus-theatre experience all under one roof… you won’t even have to leave your seat before the curtain rises. Order your dessert before the beginning of the show and enjoy it during the interval with a glass of wine.
As a theatre for performing arts, The Royal Court is a registered charity and receives no funding, yet manages to produce eight long running performances per year. Predominantly comedies and musicals, the shows are Liverpool-themed and the cast and crew are generally from the city and surrounding areas Sets are constructed locally, rehearsals take place on site and 95% of all the funds disposed by the theatre are reinvested in the local economy.
Part of our redevelopment saw the opening of our new foyer space. Open during the day, it’s an ideal spot to relax with a cup of tea or coffee and indulge in a slice of home-made cake and is open from 10am every day except Sundays.
For a morning coffee, afternoon tea or a blindingly entertaining night out, get yourself along to the Royal Court Theatre.
