Built between 1749 and 1754 and situated in the heart of the city, Liverpool Town Hall is a magnificent late Georgian Grade I listed building and is home to the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.
With its impressive dome atop which stands a statue of Minerva, Goddess of Wisdom, The National Heritage List for England refers to Liverpool Town Hall as “one of the finest surviving 18th century town halls.” A civic suite, rather than performing an administrative function, it incorporates the Lord Mayor’s parlour and Council chamber. The city’s Council Chamber is located on the ground floor, along with the Hall of Remembrance, dedicated to Liverpool’s First World War servicemen who were killed in action. One of Liverpool’s most prestigious and popular venues for Weddings, business lunches, conferences, exhibitions, and many other functions, the upper floor houses a suite of sumptuously decorated state-rooms, all of which can be hired for a variety of events. With a 270 guest capacity in its various function rooms, including the council Chamber, Liverpool Town Hall is sure to provide the space and facilities suit your function’s needs. The in-house catering is provided by the award-winning “Caterers to the Lord Mayor”, who regularly cater for a whole host of VIP guests from across the globe. Their attention to detail, flexible approach and highest standards of customer care will ensure your event goes smoothly and successfully, from the planning stage through to delivery. Guided tours of this unique and historic building operate frequently and are highly recommended.
