Rebecca Ferguson and up-and-coming acts launch Christmas
Liverpool ONE celebrated the launch of its Christmas festivities last night with an all star Liverpool line up of talent. Headlined by X Factor’s Rebecca Ferguson, the event on Paradise Place also featured a whole host of Merseyside talent including up and coming stars Chelcee Grimes and Zara.
The cast of the Cinderella Rock and Roll Panto and performers from Jennifer Ellison’s Fame Academy got shoppers into the Christmas spirit with Radio City’s Dave Kelly. The crowd then got out their song sheets and joined in to a mass sing-a-long to Christmas classic, ‘Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town’ with Rebecca Ferguson leading the way.
Donna Howitt, Marketing Director at Liverpool ONE said; “We’re thrilled with last night’s event and the response from the crowd was brilliant. This year we really wanted to showcase the amazing talent we have in Liverpool. Rebecca was an obvious choice for us and Chelcee and Zara were a fantastic addition. All of our acts really made the most of their opportunity to shine. It was wonderful to see such a great Christmas show at Liverpool ONE with so much home-grown talent taking to the stage.”
Rebecca, who entertained shoppers with her own material including debut single Nothing’s Real But Love, also spent time with her fans and children from Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The evening also saw the launch of Christmas in the Park, which is now open on Chavasse Park with lots of festive fun for all the family. Get your skates on at Liverpool ONE’s real ice rink, meet Santa in his Grotto or relax with a post-shopping cocktail at the brand new Polar Bar.
Rebecca Ferguson will release her debut single Nothing's Real But Love on 27th November.
