John Lennon Tribute Season

Liverpool is hosting an extensive season of cultural events to celebrate the life of John Lennon, one of the world's most influential and legendary musicians, who was born in the city.

From 9th October (which would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday) to 9th December (the day after the 30th anniversary of his death); organisations in Liverpool will join forces to host a series of live music, film, poetry and art events as part of the John Lennon Tribute Season.

Highlights include 'Lennon Remembered', a major tribute concert at the Echo Arena, birthday celebration at the world-famous Cavern Club, a Lennon-inspired international poetry competition, Magical Mystery bus and walking tours and special exhibitions at The Beatles Story and Victoria Gallery & Museum.

Liverpool ONE will be hosting a musical tribute from 9th-15th October and an art exhibition 9th-31st October which will be made up of competition entries from children and adults, read on to find out how you can enter.

Liverpool ONE Loves Lennon – A Musical Tribute - 9th – 15th October 2010

Professional musicians and street entertainers will be performing musical tributes to John Lennon throughout the streets of Liverpool ONE.

Liverpool ONE Loves Lennon – An Art Exhibition - 9th – 31st October

A competition for children and adults to have artwork related to John Lennon on display at Liverpool ONE. The competition launches 12th July 2010. Artists will have 2 months to submit their entries with a deadline of 10th September. The exhibition will be on display throughout Liverpool ONE from 9th-31st October.
