A day out
To get to Liverpool ONE using public transport: arrive
by bus at the Liverpool ONE terminal or
by train at one of Liverpool’s four central trains stations: Liverpool Lime Street, Liverpool Central, Moorfields or James Street. If you prefer to
drive, you can park in one of Liverpool ONE’s three award winning
car parks.
If you're lucky enough to have a full day ahead of you, then you will find plenty to keep you occupied at Liverpool ONE! Start your day at
Peter's Lane, and be inspired by the creme-de-la-creme of the fashion world, all set in stunningly designed arcades. Take a stroll towards the Bling building - arguably one of Liverpool ONE's most impressive feature structures.
If the weather is playing along, then set off towards Sugar House Steps on Thomas Steer's Way, which is the perfect spot for soaking up the sunshine. Here you might notice a small silver coloured railing which upon closer inspection reveals the spectacular Original Dock Wall of Liverpool. This was unearthed during the excavation work for Liverpool ONE, and provides a special talking point for history buffs.
Make your way up the steps towards Chavasse Park, and take a stroll along the winding pathways, enjoying the unique flora and fauna which has been specially planted to create an unexpected urban oasis. Don't miss the beautiful Cesar Pelli designed One Park West - a new apartment building overlooking both the park and the Albert Dock. Across from here you will see the famous Albert Dock, where you can satisfy your culture craving by visiting one of the latest exhibitions at the
Tate Liverpool.
By now, you'll be ravenous and there are plenty of mouth-watering options available for you to enjoy on the Leisure Terrace, overlooking Chavasse Park. Whatever tickles your tastebuds, there is so much on offer you won't be disappointed. Get spicy with a
Nandos Peri-Peri Chicken Burger, or go for a scrumptiously hearty option at
Gourmet Burger Kitchen.
After lunch, take a walk along South John Street and Paradise Lane, where you will fine some of the biggest names in High Street and urban fashion. With over 160 stores, you can shop to your heart's content! Plus, with late night shopping until 8pm weekdays, there's plenty of time to find yourself the perfect outfit!
