Mums-To-Be Treated Like Royalty!
We invited six Merseyside mums-to-be to be treated like royalty at Liverpool ONE, as a reminder that Kate Middleton isn’t the only stylish woman expecting her own prince or princess this month!
Suzanne Slater, Helen Hubbard, Karen Rafferty-O’Shea, Shelene Berry, Catherine Bartlett and Rachael Walmsley were invited by Liverpool ONE to a special day of pampering and treats ahead of their due dates this month.
The day began with a makeover from Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols, in which the mums-to-be were given a makeover and hair styling session at the store.
They then moved on to John Lewis, where they were treated to afternoon tea and a guided tour around the new Nursery Advice service, with treats from the store’s extensive baby section.
Rachael Walmsley added: “I’m 37 weeks into my first pregnancy and are really delighted. It’s our miracle baby as we were due to start fertility treatment in January this year but fell pregnant naturally just before.
“We’ve been very organised and I think we’ve bought everything that we’ll need. My mother has even bought her own traditional-style pram to take the baby on walks this summer.
“It’s been a joy to have a pamper day at Liverpool ONE. John Lewis and Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols treated us like royalty for the day which was really special.”
Karen Rafferty O’Shea said: “When I found out I was pregnant at the same time as Kate I was really shocked. My husband, Stephen, and I married one week before the royal couple so to be expecting our first babies at the same time is funny. We’re having a little boy and everyone is delighted, especially my parents as it is their first grandchild, just like Carole and Michael Middleton.
