Dry January… 31 days of abstaining from alcohol… Do we really have to? Dry January is known for being beneficial to your health, aiding weight loss, lowering blood pressure and improving sleep and energy levels. But for those of you who didn’t drink excessively during the festive period, and only drink every now and again anyway, giving up alcohol may not be a priority. You might not want to give up a glass of red with your evening meal. That’s fine too. As they say, everything in moderation! We’re all for banishing the binge drinking but we’ve also got six GREAT reasons to abstain from abstaining altogether.
As if Beauty Bazaar, Harvey Nichols isn’t already the best place ever for being filled to the brim with coveted beauty and skincare goodies, they’ve got a glamorous bar on the First Floor called WOW Bar. Its location makes for the perfect afternoon catch up spot with your best gal after a manicure at the Nails inc. counter. Browse the extensive champagne and wine list or choose an expert made cocktail. Our favourite? The Champagne Cream Tea – scone, clotted cream, preserve, Bloom tea and a glass of Harvey Nichols Champagne.
Cocktails on tap
No fuss, no muss, as they say. If you’re thirsty, there’ll be no waiting around at The Club House where the cocktails quite literally flow on tap. Choose a handcrafted classic cocktail served straight from the tap over ice for a refreshing end of the week drink. House cocktails are also available.
Champagne afternoon tea
Ladies who lunch know that a glass of fizz is the perfect companion for a catch up gossip. Upgrade your afternoon tea at Browns to include a chilled glass of Mercier NV Brut with your finger sandwiches and scones. Afternoon tea is served everyday from 2.30pm – 5pm.

Hotel Chocolat Mojito Selector
Strong on the rum, crushed mint and lime. We’re convinced a pack of Hotel Chocolat’s liquor chocolates have the capability to get you tipsy and if you’re a mojito fan, don’t be fooled by the size – these really pack a punch.
Lindt LINDOR Irish Cream Truffles
Continuing with the boozy chocolate theme, Lindt’s truffles are already the most rich and indulgent anyway, but with a splash of Irish Cream? AMAZING. These don’t actually contain any alcohol, but you couldn’t tell from the taste. Perfect post-dinner chocolates.
